WAYS TO TAKE CBD

CBD is being added to many other household products, but in my opinion it makes the products much more expensive without providing much (if any) benefit from the CBD. The best way to take CBD if you want real health benefit is with topical creams, or oral drops (aka Tincture.) The next paragraph tells you how to use the oil drops or topical creams.

WHAT KIND OF CBD IS BEST?

HOW MUCH SHOULD I TAKE?

The amount of CBD you take can be adjusted depending on your size and weight. It may also depend on what you're using CBD for. The chart below may help you.

WHEN SHOULD I TAKE CBD?

Experts advise consistency for best results: take CBD twice a day, morning and evening.

THE ENDOCANNIBINOID SYSTEM

The human body has an endocannibinoid system that responds very well to cannabis products but it needs to be "awakened" first, in order to get the most benefit from CBD oil. This is why you should start out slow with CBD oil and gradually increase how much you're taking.

This next link explains the endocannibinoid system in scientific detail. In fact, I don't understand this page but I'm posting a link to it just to show you that the endocannibinoid system is serious science

WHY SHOULD I USE CBD?

I belong to Facebook groups where people share what CBD is doing for them.  I also looked for customer reviews online. The stories are amazing. It's the personal testimonies that have really convinced me, as well as my own experience.

CBD is helping with many aches and pains that I figured I had to live with as part of old age - but I'm finding out I don't have to live with it. Makes me want to ask people, "WHY HAVEN'T YOU TRIED CBD YET?"  You won't know until you try! Once I tried CBD I couldn't believe how much good it was doing, far beyond the original purpose that I bought it for.

BE SURE TO BUY QUALITY CBD

The only thing I caution folks about: make sure you get a QUALITY brand because there are a lot of scams and substandard CBD products out there.

IMO, the best way to use CBD is with the oral drops (tincture) or topical creams. Some people buy the gummies and then they're disappointed because they don't get results. If you're serious about using CBD for your health, I recommend the oil tincture or a topical cream (I use both.)

And I really don't see any benefit in adding CBD to a zillion household products such as cleaning supplies or soaps. Although some people have told me that CBD shampoo has been very helpful for their scalp problems.

WHAT IS DABBING?

Dabbing is another phrase I've come across while researching CBD. Traditionally, Dab product is produced from marijuana for the purpose of getting a more intense high. But hemp CBD is also being manufactured in Dab form, so it's good to know what it is. CBD Dab is a concentrated form of CBD (oil or crystals) that is heated into a vapor and inhaled. The "dab" is heated and vaporized through various means, usually with a bong. This article from a substance abuse website explains what dabbing is:

CBD FOR PETS

nosey posey mosey

My ancient 19 year-old cat (Nosey) doesn't like ANYTHING that I sneak in his food, and he's a fussy eater - so even if he does eat some of the supplements I've tried to give him, he never gets enough to do any good. I wondered how I could give him CBD because I'm sure he would reject any additives in his food.

I can give CBD to Nosey with a dropper but cleaning the dropper after every dose is a pain.

I decided to try something different. I put a few drops of unflavored CBD on a plate and then use my finger to rub the oil on his upper lip (not on his nose or he might inhale it.) Nosey was offended the first few days that I did this, but now I think he enjoys it, if for no other reason than it's a bit of attention. Nosey licks off the CBD within a few minutes, and I think some of it also absorbs through his skin.

It's nearly impossible to give this stubborn old guy any kind of health supplements or pills, but giving Nosey the oil this way is easy and he's OK with it.

Cats have a very slow metabolism so I only give Nosey the CBD oil every 2-3 days. The CBD will help Nosey with old age pains, and it also helps him with constipation.
